About David B. Rounds
David B. Rounds is a Las Vegas native and attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. With a significant history in the IT industry, his career in IT started effectively with his first company, uptimeLV, which he founded in 2001. As the CEO, he developed a vision and foresight, which has led him to be one of the leaders in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) IT industry. He currently serves as an advisor for Insperity MSP Advisory Council, as well as The Pax8 Peer Group Advisors for a cloud software distribution company. He is also a member of The Gentleman’s League, a non-profit organization of Southern Nevada business leaders committed to assisting other local non-profits in their fundraising endeavors.
David has since merged with and subsequently acquired two other MSPs in Las Vegas. The most recent phase of his career and success came in 2014 as he merged with NetEffect Networks, another growing MSP in the Las Vegas market. With this merger, David was able to advance his commitment by providing not only a quality service but also furthering the NetEffect commitment to Small and Medium Business by providing a vCIO expertise that is typically not available to the smaller business community.
David has exhibited a tireless commitment to the IT industry. For his vision and contribution, David has received recognition and awards by many organizations as a business leader. David recognizes the speed at which the industry is growing and reshaping itself. This reshaping is why David and NetEffect remain committed to being at the forefront of IT business innovation.
David and his wife and Partner, Shelly, have three children. Two of which are currently in college, while the oldest graduated from the University of Washington. When he is not working, David enjoys camping and scuba diving as well as giving back to the Las Vegas Community.
About David R. Hale
David Hale develops strategies to help companies address new, emerging and future privacy laws and regulations. He possesses an expansive knowledge of privacy, cybersecurity, technology and marketing issues including transaction and litigation work. Committed to creatively solving complex business problems, David skillfully navigates the most complicated privacy issues helping clients achieve business goals.
During his 13 years at TD Ameritrade, David founded and built TD Ameritrade’s enterprise privacy program including its information breach response team. He uses this experience to help clients proactively address data protection issues as part of new product development, M&A due diligence and business expansion. David understands the risks of collecting personal data and guides clients in the creation of data incident response programs. When a data incident occurs, clients rely on his calm, informed approach to help evaluate, manage and respond quickly.
David further understands that privacy is more than a matter of mere regulatory compliance, but can have a significant impact on a company’s brand strategy. He works with clients on strategies to build positive privacy impacts to their reputation while mitigating risk and harm in the event of a breach.
