E.K. McWilliams is a member of the Investigations, Compliance and Defense Practice, with a focus on internal and government-initiated investigations.  E.K. is also a certified anti-money laundering compliance specialist and has particular experience in the area of anti-money laundering regulation and the Bank Secrecy Act and is considered an expert in federal regulation of cannabis as well as enforcement of federal laws related to cannabis.  This year, E.K. was the recipient of the National LGBT Bar Association's “40 Under 40” award.

David Saunders (CIPP/US) is a partner and member of the firm’s Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice and its Complex Commercial Litigation Practice.  Through the lens of a litigator, Mr. Saunders helps clients navigate their risks in the data privacy and cybersecurity arenas.  Clients who are developing privacy programs, handling a data incident or facing regulatory investigations turn to Mr. Saunders for his experience as both a privacy professional and a litigator.  Whether they need proactive or reactive privacy and cybersecurity counseling, he collaborates to help them achieve their goals.

Wade Thomson is a partner and member of the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation Practice.  He has significant experience in high-stakes commercial disputes and government investigations around the world, practicing out of both the Chicago and London offices.  Mr. Thomson also assists clients on internal and government investigations involving the DOJ, EPA, IRS, State Department, SEC, grand juries and gaming commissions.  Mr. Thomson Has counseled many companies in Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act matters and is a certified AML specialist.
